Sabina Rifat, a longtime URI member in Pakistan, shares a story from attending and speaking at a program for women in rural Mangla. “The participants were 80% women,” she recounts, “which was a surprise in such a remote area.” She was also able to encourage the participation of both Muslims, the majority religion, and Christians, the minority religion, in the area – a notable accomplishment for interfaith relations between the two communities.
