Kiran Bali speaks at G20 Interfaith convening

Kiran Bali, MBE JP, Chair of URI's Global Council, spoke at the G20 Interfaith convening in Tokyo, Japan, alongside Religions for Peace's Dr. Azza Karam and Carnegie Council's Mari Miura. 

"All of our wonderful faith traditions talk about gender equality and the pivotal role that a woman plays in society. We must practice as we preach."

More than 2000 people participated in the G20 Interfaith gathering, discussing religions's role in world affairs. Recommendations from this convening will be presented at the upcoming G20 Economic Summit.
