United Religions Initiative (URI), founded by The Rt. Rev. William E. Swing, and the Oxford Interfaith Forum, founded and directed by Dr. Thea Gomelauri, have been awarded the 2024 Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize, awarded by Hofstra University in collaboration with the Sardarni Kuljit Kaur Bindra Charitable Foundation.
Last Sunday, Bishop William Swing, Founding Trustee and President Emeritus, delivered a sermon at Grace Cathedral, in San Francisco.
In his words: "Next week, we will elect a president of the United States. Among the myriad responsibilities that go with the office, none is of greater magnitude than the use of nuclear weapons."
Between August and September 2021, the URI AL&C Online Youth Training organized by the URI Global Program for the participation of youth was developed with the intervention of 15 young people from the CCs: Aflaiai, Constructores de Puentes, Teusaquillo, Mukua, Quinaroes , COEMATI, The Descendants of Guatemaya, Samay, ACRE from the countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama and Venezuela.

URI AL&C is made up of 64 Cooperation Circles in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The work includes cultural, social and religious diversity and the great teachings of indigenous worldviews.
Arizona Faith Network Cooperation Center has launched an initiative to help establish faith-based hydration, cooling, and heat relief centers during the summer.
URI is working together with over 600 Cooperation Circles worldwide focusing on interfaith and intercultural dialogue. On the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week, Quinaroa Cooperation Circle in Venezuela organized an interfaith La Virgen de La Paz.
