Ebenezer Community Development - ECOD´´s main focus is to provide Child Development and protection, Climate Justice, Economic Justice, Education and Food Security.
ECOD was born out of the desire to propel development that is premised on socioeconomic development of the vulnerable population in Malawi. Members advance the vision and work of the founders to lead the holistic and people centered community development. Following the footsteps of ECOD´s founders, they inspire hope through action, encouraging individuals and communities to be part of their development agenda. The community’s needs are a priority of ECOD´s response hence member´s efforts are directed towards children, women, youths, people living with disabilities, refugees, people living with HIV/AIDS and the elderly around the communities they serve.
ECOD´s work is focused on putting the local communities at the heart of development hence holistic approach through Rights based; Advocacy; Civic education; Capacity building; Participatory; Community centered; Coordination and collaboration; Needs driven and Project based.
