Muapnen Capacity Building Initiative (MuCaBi) stands as a beacon of hope and transformative
change in Nigeria. Through strategic partnerships and dedicated efforts, MuCaBi has made
significant strides in addressing pressing societal issues, particularly in the areas of education,
mental health, and criminal justice reform.
MuCaBi’s collaboration with Radio Maria 91.3FM Abuja has resulted in the production of 32
impactful episodes of a radio show, reaching diverse audiences and raising awareness on critical
about rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates. Additionally, MuCaBi organized a successful
mental health talk and counseling session at the Jos Custodian Center, providing vital support to
over 500 inmates and offering counseling to 40 individuals.
One of the core focuses of MuCaBi’s mission is to ensure that education remains accessible to
all, irrespective of socio-economic background. Through partnerships with organizations like the
Special Youth Foundation, MuCaBi has facilitated scholarships for children in rural
communities, those affected by conflict, and individuals within the criminal justice system.
Furthermore, MuCaBi’s commitment to education is exemplified through the provision of basic
educational support, book donations, and training initiatives for volunteer staff.
The recognition bestowed upon MuCaBi, including being named the Best Crime Prevention
Initiative 2022 and a top 5 nominee by CSR-in-Action, underscores the organization’s impactful
contributions to Nigerian society. As MuCaBi continues to forge ahead, guided by its values of
inclusivity and social responsibility, it remains steadfast in its commitment to driving positive
change and empowering communities across Plateau State.
