MAAG was formed in December 2015 as a result of collaboration between Christian and Muslims on the Gold Cost (Queensland, Aus.). Members work to build a compassionate, caring, inclusive and harmonious community, respecting differences and cooperating to serve community needs together. They also go into schools and talk about the importance of understanding and compassion. They promote visits between different Faith Centers and provide education to students’ groups through Forums and an Appreciative Inquiry process. Members meet monthly for discussion, prayer, and preparation, celebrate their respective faith days, educate the community, assist in refugee settlement, hold forums for interfaith dialogue, and advance the possibility of the Gold Coast becoming a more compassionate community.
Our friendship and openness to work through difficult issues together
