The COYIDA CC has 11 Christian and Muslim members. The purpose of COYIDA is to “facilitate empowerment of local communities especially youths and children in realization of improved living."

Forward Action for Conservation of Indigenous Species conducted a seminar on youth interfaith dialogue and tree splanting for the protection of environment. This was part of FACIS's 2014 work plan. 5000 thousand youth in Bauchi state will be train in climate change mitigation and adaptation measures this year. This will be conducted simultaniously with peace dialogues, intereactive sessions with religious/community leaders.

The celebrations are part of the key activities under URI’s “project to promote women’s property rights in both Jinja and Mayuge districts in Eastern Uganda,” and is executed by URI together with two Cooperation Circles in that region.
