The world acknowledged World Refugee Day last week on June 20, giving the international URI community a chance to reflect on Cooperation Circles’ work to help refugees throughout the world.

Fifty years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., many feel it is time for another revival — not a religious revival, but one that will initiate a new era of dignity and honor for all people. And so, in 2018, thousands of participants are launching a new Poor People’s Campaign.

Today, June 20 is World Refugee Day. According to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNRA), more than 68 million people around the world are refugees or internally displaced as a result of conflict or persecution.

A youth interfaith partnership in Kampala Celebrates World Environment Day by building community sensitivity to plastics pollution to end plastics dumping into roads, rivers and drinking wells. 

In Caracas, Venezuela, on April 28, the members of "Circulo De Cooperación para el Diálogo" held an interreligious prayer day, all praying with the intention to send healing energies to Mother Earth.

In the city of Caracas, Venezuela, on April 28, the members of Circulo De Cooperación para el Diálogo (CC for Dialogue) met with neighbors from some areas of the capital to hold an interreligious prayer day and to be able to send healing energies through the practice of Reiki.

The vision of the encounter "Awakening the Awareness of Leadership for Peace" was to develop a dynamic agenda aimed at appreciating unity in diversity, and to train participants as groups that could inspire, accompany, and support each other.
