Salwan School launches a Green Programme

Salwan School, a Cooperation Circle in New Delhi, India, launched the Green School Programme in July.  Five teams were organized to evaluate their current use of water, air, land, energy and waste. The purpose of this program is to help students assess their use of resources and map their consumption and wastage.  It enables them to identify the gaps in their current practices. The program will stimulate the growth of a more environmentally aware and responsible generation of citizens. The program began with a ceremony, with the principal planting a sapling in the school grounds.

URI's Key Accomplishments

URI’s ten year anniversary year, 2010, is moving into its last quarter. We have acquired authority and humility in our ten years of growth. We have embraced grassroots leadership, friendship, sharing the sacred, local leadership that meets local need, and we have nurtured a new reality where religious differences become a source of respect and mutual cooperation.
