URI Stories of Impact

On July 9th, 2020, the members of the CC Fraternity Interspiritual held a virtual meeting with Councilors from Guadalajara, Mexico City, San Luis Potosí, El Salvador and the United States to organize new digital activities that allow them to live in intercultural and interreligious harmony in means of physical distancing.

Interfaith prayers are offered for the end of COVID-19, and for the safety of the whole world.

Iftekhar Hai is an interfaith bridge-building pioneer. Before most people saw the need for bridge-building among people of different religious faiths, Iftekhar was already showing the way.

URI Germany was present at the demonstration against racism in Bonn, where approximately 1000 people gathered at the Münster-Market to show their solidarity with their colored brothers and sisters who were claiming their human rights.

AK Kumar, a URI member of Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre, reflects on his experience of working with children during quarantine rather than staying home.

Organized by CC Borborema, on July 2nd by the profile on instagram @cienciadameditacao, it promoted two special lives involving the theme of rituals and myths surrounded by spiritual practices.

“Diversity makes life be life, according to the voices of our ancestors. Since 2012 we belong to URI, as CC and we have been allowed to share with youth and adults of different religions."

We at URI North America uplift the voices of protest against white supremacy and honor the truth that systemic racism has always plagued our society.
