A unique institution in Punjab, India, the school serves 225 handicapped children and is a pioneer in North India in the field of education for children with special needs. 

It was indeed a noble beginning for PEACE CC this year, as it extended valuable help to handicapped students. The brain behind this was Maitri, the dynamic youth of our CC.

Last month, during our meeting, Maitri Tanna, an active youth member of PEACE CC (Multiregion) came up with an innovative idea of mass collection of old newspapers, old paper boxes and selling them to earn some money and use the money to help two handicapped students attending school. She wanted to begin the New Year with a noble cause. As the old papers goes for recycling in a way this also helps towards environment cause, she said.

An award ceremony was held in the WAKE CC Vocational Centre in Joy Sha, Lahore on 18 December 2014. Diplomas were given to 32 women (28 Christian and 4 Muslims). 

Today, the international community was rocked by the news of a Taliban attack on a school in Peshwar, Pakistan, which killed 141 people - 132 of whom were children - and injured many others.

The atmosphere was electric, with the emergence of a powerful approach for URI assemblies on full display, and it is an honor to share a few highlights with you.

By translating words into actions we can all make a valuable and tangible impact, beginning with the cleaning, clean water and toilets at our places of worship and pilgrimage sites.

PEACE CC member and environment activist, Sirajuddin. M. Horaginamani encouraged and joined hands with school children to support ‘Clean India Mission’ (Swachh Bharath Abhiyan) at Holy Creseant Educational Society’s Alhuda School situated in KHB Colony of  Bijapur City, Karnataka on 25^th November, 2014.

Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights organized a Peace Prayer and solidarity ceremony for the Christian Couple Mr. Shezhad Mashi and Shama Bibi with the collaboration of Religious and Civil Society of Sialkot at its office on 12^th November 2014. The purpose of that Peace prayer & solidarity ceremony was to condemn the lynching young Christian couple by fanatic mob at Kot Radha Kishan

Agriculture training for kitchen gardening is also one of component of “Economic empowerment of Women through vocational, life skills, cultivation for kitchen gardening and computer training project executing by Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights. The main purpose of this component is to improved savings and better nutrition through training for cultivation of kitchen gardens for households. During his visit to Rawalakot Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori participated in the agriculture and briefed the participants regarding the importance of kitchen gardening as well as theoretical training on agriculture.
