Since 1991 Bauchi continues experiencing ethno-religious crises with hundreds of people massacred and many churches, mosques, and family homes burned down. All major ethno-religious crises in Bauchi State emanate from the two local government areas, Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa, in the extreme south of Bauchi.
